Lindsey Oil Refinery on strike again

Most readers will remember the big strikes in the construction industry beginning at the Lindsey Oil Refinery earlier this year. After the victories won by those actions it’s no surprise that employers are now fighting back.
Following the sacking of 51 workers at the Lindey site by one sub-contractor, Shaws, there was an unofficial strike by around 1,200 workers [...]

Compulsory reading

The wave of hysteria in response to the election of two BNP MEP’s I predicted is already well underway. It may be too late to stop the immediate headless chicken style political response to OH NO THE RACIST NAZI BNP GOT ELECTED LET’S PANIC (yesterday Unite Against Fascism called for a protest in Oxford, a city which [...]

‘British lion’ encounters egg

You’d think he’d never seen anything so terrifying in all his life:

BNP security respond by battering some random woman passing by.
Should have joined the TSG lads, job’s more or less the same but the pay’s better.

Prepare for a wave of hysteria

Too close to call

I’ve had a couple of requests asking for predictions about the European election results tonight but I can honestly say I haven’t got a clue.
Plus, making specific predictions can leave you looking pretty stupid.
For example, this prediction from BNP Northwest organiser and council candidate Clive Jefferson:
“We have had an absolutely fantastic response to our campaign in Copeland, [...]

Job’s half done

I don’t quite know where Cumbria BNP have gone wrong.
If the ‘perfect storm’ was to hit anywhere it should have been Cumbria. It’s been obvious for weeks that the Labour vote was going to collapse nationally and the areas the BNP put candidates up in Cumbria, Allerdale, Copeland and Carlisle, are all traditionally Labour areas.
Yet, the [...]

Greedy liars

I realise the polls are closed now and anyone that’s voted BNP has already done so but it’s worth pointing at, yet another, bit of evidence the BNP are much a money-grabbing bunch of liars as any mainstream party.
A couple of weeks back they sent out an email to supporters with this ludicrous claim:
BNP website [...]

NO2EU – Yes to Democracy

Better late than never.
 NO2EU -  Yes to Democracy:

Dave Nellist Socialist Party councillor in Coventry says who they are and why you should vote for them:
The coalition that we’ve assembled in the last few weeks for this election is campaigning against privatisation, against low pay, against MPs’ ‘expenses’ and the gravy train. We’re [...]
